How to Enable and Disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your WestinPay account. Here’s how you can enable or disable it and what to do if you disable it accidentally.

How to Enable 2FA

To enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your account:

  • Log into Your Account: Go to the login page and enter your credentials.
  • Access Security Settings: Navigate to the security settings section of your account profile.
  • Activate 2FA: Follow the instructions to link your account with an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy. Scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
  • Confirm and Save: After scanning the QR code, enter the verification code generated by your authenticator app to confirm the setup.

How to Disable 2FA

To disable 2FA on your WestinPay account, follow these steps:

  • Login to Your Account: Go to the login page and sign in.
  • Access Security Settings: Go to the security section under your account settings.
  • Disable 2FA: Follow the prompts to disable Two-Factor Authentication.
  • Confirm Deactivation: You may need to enter your 2FA code again to confirm the action. Once disabled, 2FA will no longer be required for login.

Important Notes:

If you disabled 2FA and wish to re-enable it, you will need to rescan the QR code or re-enter the 2FA code into your authenticator app. Make sure to follow the steps carefully to ensure your account remains secure.
